Billy Connolly has been staying safe while wearing the colours.
The legendary entertainer hasn’t been slow to show which side of the city he belongs to even through a pandemic.
Back in the early seventies when he was making his mark, firstly playing the banjo before concentrating on comedy he would tour the Social Clubs and Working Mens clubs of Scotland. Those smoke filled venues wouldn’t have imagined a time when mask wearing was compulsory.

Despite being diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2013 the Partick raised entertainer maintains a reasonable profile and has been known to put in the occasional appearance at Celtic Park.
Like all Celtic fans he’ll be looking to get back inside the stadium in the season ahead and hoping that the team on the park is worth watching.
In 1996 Connolly officially opened the Lisbon Lions Stand at Celtic Park.
