Celtic’s pre-season friendly against Sheffield Wednesday will consist of three periods of 30 minutes.
The Bhoys are back in action tomorrow with Ange Postecoglou taking charge for the first time.
Pre-season friendlies are effectively glorified training sessions, with sessions of 30 minutes it can cut down on disruptions caused by substitutions and allow managers to change their team entirely at the breaks to ensure that game time is maximised.

Tomorrow’s match kicks off at 3pm and will be shown live on Celtic TV and also on the Pass to Paradise available to Season Ticket holders.
With just two weeks to go until the Champions League qualifier against Midtjylland it is looking increasingly likely that Postecoglou will go into those matches with mainly the squad that failed to get past Ferencvaros last season.
Earlier today Celtic were linked with Rubin Kazan’s central defender Carl Starfelt.
