Westwood Bridge in East Kilbride was proudly decked out in Japan flags this morning in response to the latest outrages of Scotland’s Shame.

Last week the local ‘Rangers’ Supporters Club were setting off to Dingwall on a journey that would soon be making headlines worldwide and bringing shame to East Kilbride.

Some high-jinks and banter on the bus was recorded and shared on social media, by the time the match kicked off against Ross County the clips had gone viral with some of the lads from the Westwood club in for an uncomfortable week.

As the bus made its way back to East Kilbride the storm clouds were gathering, even the Scottish media outlets were picking up on the celebrations of racism against someone who had been in Scotland for three weeks.

By Monday some season tickets were cancelled by the club from Ibrox, the Westwood club won’t be getting any more tickets for matches but are likely to reform under another guise before the turn of the year.

In 1987 local band Aztec Camera put Westwood on the map with a mention in their hit ‘Somewhere In My Heart’.
