GB News provided David Edgar with a platform to push the idea that the club from Ibrox are getting a rough deal from the Scottish Government.

That will be the Government that provided a £3.2m interest free loan earlier this year to keep the lights on. Celtic received £0.

Murdo Fraser got the ball rolling in an opinion piece published by the extreme Unionist rag The Scotsman which was quickly picked up by the Daily Record and The Sun.

It kind of sums up the mentality of The Scotsman, GB News and Fraser (who is a list MSP having repeatedly failed to get close to winning an election) that they don’t see the obvious disconnect between a political party with Independence as its goal and the most visible sign of Unionism in Scotland.

Over the last year Edgar has achieved his dream of becoming the voice of Ibrox with media access and a constant feed of club news to spread via various fan media outlets.

With mainstream media outlets so far refusing to pay £25,000 for access to Ibrox media conferences Edgar is now the main voice at the stage-managed Steven Gerrard media appearances.

GB News was launched earlier this year, fronted by Andrew Neil with Nigel Farage and Arlene Fraser recently joining their other extremist presenters.
