Celtic cruised to a convincing 6-0 win over Dundee but it was another example of the leniency shown to opponents by Scottish referees.

Late in the first half, trailing to a pair of goals from Kyogo Furuhashi, the Dundee players decided that it was time to get physical with a number of dangerous challenges on Celtic players.

Following the example of Bobby Madden last week against Hearts, Ewan Anderson decided to go easy on James McPake’s side as they slid in dangerously for the ball with the follow through appearing to be something of a speciality.

Jordan Marshall knew exactly what he was doing with Tony Ralston, as the Celtic defender played the ball forward he was smashed in with his right foot with his left following just behind.

Anderson decided that it was only worth a yellow card, Ralston survived and notched Celtic’s fifth goal as Ange Postecoglou marked his first SPFL home match with a convincing win.

Marshall did get a red card for the foul on Liel Abada that provided Celtic with a penalty and the sixth goal.
