Since his last appearance at Celtic Park things have been kind of eventful for Kyogo Furuhashi.

The recent signing failed to score in the 6-0 win over St Mirren but incidents a week later made him headline news worldwide, bringing shame on Scotland and highlighting issues that many would pretend don’t exist.

One group of Ibrox fans decided to share details of their trip to Dingwall and the issue of racism was brought to the fore.

Scott Sinclair and others have been subjected to similar treatment in the recent past but this time the news spread globally, Japan and Australia found out about some Scottish issues.

Yesterday, despite Kyogo missing the win over Ross County due to injury, The Green Brigade made their feelings known about the racism that often attaches itself to football.

Complacency can be the enemy with this issue, a variety of projects and programmes are in place but the issue shows no sign of going away.

Ange Postecoglou spoke powerfully on it to Celtic TV, perhaps it takes an outsider to show the way forward and eradicate the need for banners like the one on display yesterday.
