Nick Walsh kept up his remarkable record of red cards against Sevco opponents when he sent Motherwell’s Stephen O’Donnell packing midway through the second half at Fir Park today.

In 19 Premiership matches stretching back a year Walsh has also sent off Michael O’Halloran, Callum McGregor and Ryan Porteous in matches against Steven Gerrard’s side. It is 22 months since any of Gerrard’s players have been sent off by a Scottish ref, in Europe this season Kemar Roofe, Leon Balogun, Glen Kamara and John Lundstram have been red carded.

Peter Pawlett and Jack Fitzwater in the same match are the only other players to have been sent off by Walsh in the last 12 months.

O’Donnell’s double yellow may be justified but Lundstram managed to escape the attention of Walsh for a brutal attack on Josh Doig in the early minutes of the game last month where Porteous was sent off.

Last week against Celtic Chris Kane was given just a yellow by Walsh for kicking the grounded Cameron Carter-Vickers then punching the defender as he got back to his feet,

This season Walsh has taken charge of seven matches, O’Donnell and Porteous are the only players that he has sent off.

As well as his refereeing income Walsh is a PE teacher at the school that has teamed up with the Murray Park starlets.

Lol loving the big fix in Scottish football and all the mug punters buying (that’s in parting with hard CASH ) into it . All the complaints about refs being bias and giving sevco all the help towards that big pot of gold at the end of the season . They certainly have earned their share and cut of the £40 million pounds from champions league money they helped bring to ibrox . So keep showing at Parkhead week in week out and get CHISELED for all you can ya bunch of dafties . And they say sevco fans are DENSE .

Rangers* again benefitted from a goal that should’ve been offside. Being the fifth goal, admittedly it wasn’t crucial for the 3pts. The BBC commentator said “Motherwell don’t even bother claiming for offside” and there was no analysis of the delivery in the edited highlights. This club are being handed a minimum of a goal a game and the TV broadcaster is definitely ‘onside’ with the situation.
If the league comes down to goal difference involving them then a potential £30m could be deposited in their coffers.
