Joe Hart celebrated his 450th league appearance on Saturday with a clean sheet for Celtic against Livingston.

It has certainly been a long and winding road for the 34-year-old who made his league debut with Shrewsbury in April 2005 with a clean sheet against Oxford in a 3-0 win.

Since then Hart has certainly had a varied career, reaching the peek as Manchester City dramatically clinched the 2012 EPL and also clocking up service at Birmingham, Torino, West Ham and others.

During the summer his career looked firmly in decline at Spurs, last season he made no EPL appearances while playing in 10 cup ties behind World Cup winner Hugo Lloris.

Things changed dramatically when Vasilis Barkas had a nightmare start to the season at Celtic, there wasn’t going to be any Ralston or Rogic like revival under Ange Postecoglou’s management.

Scott Bain came in for the return leg against Midtjylland but a week later Hart was a Celt, making his debut away to Jablonec and an ever-present since his debut.

With plenty of Champions League and international appearances playing in the league can be overlooked but 450 league games is quite an achievement- especially after being told by Pep Guardiola that he was surplus to requirements while at his peek and England’s first choice.
