The content editor of The Celtic Way let his mask slip last night as he watched the League Cup semi-final at Hampden.
With circulation, readership and advertising going through the floor at the Herald and Evening Times the Newsquest group came up with a cunning plan to try and develop a digital share of the market.
Noting the power, strength, growth and influence of independent sites such as Video Celts, Newsquest decided to jump on board by launching The Celtic Way in tandem with the Rangers Review.
Ibrox blogger and former Daily Record minnow Jonny McFarlane was brought in to mastermind the operation for the subscription based sites which brought in big names such as Alison McConnell and Christopher Jack to straddle the mainstream and independent markets.
Some handball assist by Jota for Celtic’s winner. Bankier’s referee AGM speech worked a treat?

Little wonder the Herald is following Rangers to the knackers yard….

Hurting much? Aye, worked a treat when Rooney smashed Welsh out the game and got a yellow. Fanny.

Aye and shaun Rooney should’ve been sent off for an elbow on Welsh, so It’s all swings and roundabouts wee man ain’t it

Nick Walsh was abysmal all day today. He also missed a stonewall red card for Rooney after he took Welsh’s head off with an elbow. pic.twitter.com/tiTo7nLxP4

He clearly didn’t see it…….he did see a blatant red card and decided to show yellow instead.

Any opinion on why Bryson wasn’t booked for professional foul on Jota and would have been off after the incident with kyogo? Or any reason why rooney wasn’t sent off? Or do these questions not fit your agenda?

The Celtic Way twitter account was set up in March of this year with the site launching in July in time for the start of the new season. Just over 5,000 Twitter followers would suggest a slow burner.
With Aidan Smith letting his guard slip The Celtic Way has a lot of work to do to capture the trust of the market they are aiming for.
Smith may delete last night’s tweet or backtrack but in the digital age his secret is out.
CLICK HERE to subscribe to The Celtic Way for just £2.99 per month.
Let’s be honest, the goal shouldn’t have stood. If this was the ibrox mob that got a goal like this, we would be raging. VAR is definitely needed. Hopefully it’s Hibs we play on the 19th of December.
Explain Why the advert at the end to subscribe to The Celtic Way???
Editot: Not an advert, just a reminder that fans can pay towards the wages of ‘Celtic fan’ Aidan Smith.
You can NEVER recapture the trust after betrayal.
I only saw brief highlight as I was working but I spotted the handball immediately, and yes I’d be fuming if I was a Saints fan. My problem is with the puce-faced permaraging moon-howlers of iBrokes and their media place-men who will say it shows that refs aren’t biased and they truly are just making “honest mistakes”. Well, for once, that WAS actually a genuine honest mistake because if the MIB had seen it he would have gleefully blown against us immediately!
He better watch out or he’ll be placed last in the goat queue at the next ludge meeting….
