Restored to the starting XI- Kyogo Furuhashi only needed three minutes to find the net in Budapest against Ferencvaros.

Taking a pass from Liel Abada in his stride, the striker turned and shot home from 16 yards to get Celtic off to the perfect start to their Europa League tie.

Even though Ferencvaros were back on level terms in the 11th minute Kyogo’s early goal had set the tone with Celtic laying down a marker that they were in town to outscore their opponents.

On the hour mark, with Celtic leading 2-1 Kyogo threaded through a pass to Abada that will give him as much satisfaction as any goal. The timing and delivery of the pass was perfect- as was the shot from Abada to put Celtic 3-1 in front.

Next up for Celtic in Europe is a trip to face group leaders Bayer Leverkusen, a win will put Celtic right in contention to progress in the competition but a defeat could see Kyogo and Co drop into the Europa Conference.
