After two days of almost constant criticism of social media Ian Bankier has finally found a supportive voice on Twitter.
Siamesebhoy seems to specialise in going against the grain, in trademark fashion he claimed that the Chairman is the new bogie man with Neil Lennon and Peter Lawwell no longer visible at Celtic.
Managed decline is how some fans would describe the events since the summer of 2018 when John McGinn was replaced by Youssuf Mulumbu with the season ending in the Hampden showers with the appointment of Lennon on a permanent basis.
The building blocks established under Brendan Rodgers were quickly dismantled. Cluj and Ferencvaros exposed Celtic in Europe with the roof falling in last season which ended in a bare trophy-room and 25 point deficit in the SPFL Premiership.
Judging by his AGM performance, during which the room overwhelmingly rejected his re-election, Bankier will sail on full of his own self-worth with Siamesebhoy a loan cheerleader.
Now that Peter is gone we have a new bogie man in Ian Bankier. Some criticism is imbalanced and unfair. You could be doing eight out of ten things right and the critics focus on the two that maybe aren’t right. Context. Current board presided over 9 in a row and Quadruple Treble

A managed decline that gave a 9yr old club oxygen. We should’ve put our foot on the throat of their new club and suffocated it.

Peter is still there. Only reason he wasn’t on podium at AGM was for first time football board were excluded (Michael McDonald Eric Riley & surprise surprise Peter Lawwell). And he was in the room when modernizer Dom McKay was told time up after 70 days ! Club is going nowhere

And yet our European contemporaries left us behind in that same time period, now we are 20th century run club in the 21st century due to Bankier and Peter’s gross, some would say criminal incompetence, even clubs half our size routinely beat us and are so far ahead in Europe.

Current Board benchmarked us to a failed club and as a result we have gone backwards. We do not punch our weight for revenue generated and that, in the main is down to the complacency of a Board that lost its way some time ago.

Did you read his stuff from yesterday at all ? No one should be in place as long as most of this board it’s poor practice freshen and renew is the healthy way for any business . He is complicit in 5 way agreement , continuation myth , failure of ten , Lennon the job in shower

Where are we now as James Forrest says ,we got lucky with Ange, what as a club are we going to do about all this 56 pish
