Tom Rogic and Carl Starfelt are racing against time to be available for next Saturday’s League Cup semi-final against St Johnstone.
Within four days of each other the two men picked up hamstring injuries but fortunately they seemed to be quickly identified and substituted.
The international break has reduced the number of matches that the duo will miss with Celtic’s medical team monitoring progress every day at Lennoxtown.
Without Starfelt and Rogic, Celtic won away to Ferencvaros and Dundee but with 12 matches coming up between November 20 and January 2 Postecoglou will need to dig deep into his squad.

On track, different sort of return dates (Taylor and Jullien mentioned in question). Tommy was the first one, he got the injury before Carl, Tommy is working really hard to be available once the break is over. I’ll be touch and go, if it’s not straight after (the international break) it won’t be long after I expect.
After their Hampden date with St Johnstone Celtic head to Leverkusen for what looks like a must-win match in the Europa League.
Over the next five days Postecoglou will be looking closely at how his internationalists fare before he gets round to deciding on his team to face St Johnstone at Hampden.
