In March 1972 Liz Taylor and Richard Burton threw a hotel party in Budapest for Celtic fans in town to watch Jock Stein’s side playing Ujpest Dozsa.
There are more A-listers in Glasgow this week than in the Hungarian capital but a slightly more downmarket party is underway for the ticket-less away fans.
Leftwing badges have put together a few nights of song to compliment the midweek trip to Budapest with upto 1,000 fans expected to make the trip.
Celtic announced this morning that they haven’t been able to secure an allocation of tickets but some intrepid fans are likely to find their way in to back Ange Postecoglou’ side.
Like Real Betis tomorrow’s hosts play in green and white which should make undercover operations a little easier as the hoops look to repeat their home win last month over Ferencvaros.

In case we DON’T get tickets on Thursday
We are looking to at least give the team a send off when they head to the stadium
Meeting point is central and 10 min walk to venue showing the match
