At lunchtime today it was still a case of will he or won’t he.
By 5pm Kyogo Furuhashi had joined that unique band of players to have a cup final in his name.
Whenever anyone looks back on today’s League Cup Final the lasting memories will be about Celtic’s new Japanese Bhoy.
Back in August he marked his home debut with a hat-trick against Dundee, today he took his total for the season to 16 despite two spells out injured.

The dejection of watching Hibs take the lead in the 51st minute through Paul Hanlon was almost instantly wiped out- 14 seconds from the restart Kyogo had the ball in the back of the net.
In the 72nd minute he scored the winner, with one simple touch he gave Celtic fans a trophy win to celebrate after the darkest year in the club’s history with supporters locked out and a potentially historic season ending in tatters.
Listen to that hun pr*ck Craigan rambling on just before the 2nd goal
“ Just content to sit at one one and hope on loo,,,, “
then staring at the screen thinking ,,
“ OH NO “
