Anthony Joseph is predicting a busy transfer window for Celtic as Ange Postecoglou reshapes the hoops squad.Â
At the halfway point in the season 35 players have been used with Chris Jullien and Karamoko Dembele about to come back into contention.Â
Since the Sky Sports News reporter took to Twitter Ewan Henderson has completed his move to Hibs, initially on loan with reports that Liam Shaw is close to joining Motherwell, again on loan.Â
That duo have only made three top team appearances this season but moving up the ladder Joseph expects the club to try and unload Vasilis Barkas, Albian Ajeti and Ismaila Soro.Â
Transfer fees are unlikely for those players who were all brought in during 2020 with their prospects at Celtic looking bleaker with each passing transfer deal.Â
Johnny Kenny is expected to arrive from Sligo Rovers before the weekend, at the age of 18 he is likely to go into the Lowland League squad then assessed during the close season for first team readiness.Â
Celtic are looking to offload a number of players in the January transfer window to reduce the size of the squad.
They now have 35 first team players, with an additional 7 out on loan.
Focus is now on outgoings at this stage.

Celtic are due to sign Sligo Rovers striker Johnny Kenny for £125,000 – but he is expected to initially join the B team.https://t.co/5L0qiHdo7i

That’s exactly the aim – offloading first team fringe players and younger ones to go out on loan. We’re not talking regulars.

A mix I’d imagine, or loans with options in this window.

A few big earners contributing nothing that need to be moved on. Unfortunately it’s not easy shifting Lawwells duds.
