Connor Goldson is apparently a transfer target for Nottingham Forest and West Brom.

At Forest he would be able to form a dream-team back line alongside former Ibrox buddy Joe Worrall and Scott McKenna.

Goldson signed from Brighton in the summer of 2018 and has yet to be offered a contract comparable with the £40,000/week deals that attracted Kemar Roofe and John Lundstrum to Ibrox.

With his contract expiring in the summer the former Shrewsbury starlet will be free to walk away without any transfer fee required.

The Sun reports:

NOTTINGHAM FOREST and West Brom are vying for the pre-contract signature of Rangers defender Connor Goldson.

The 29-year-old Ibrox defender looks certain to quit Gers when his deal ends in the summer.  SunSport understands the Championship promotion-chasing duo have emerged as the strongest suitors.

It’s believed there’s at least one other club pushing hard for the centre-half. Goldson is now free to discuss his future with interested parties.

Despite the Nathan Patterson windfall the only player that has moved to Ibrox this month is James Sands on an 18 month contract.

Allan McGregor, Steve Davis, Scott Arfield, Jon McLaughlin and Leon Balogun are also out of contract in May.
