Fenerbahce told that Morelos is their man for 8m euros with club forced to sell

There are growing reports from Turkey that Alfredo Morelos is a transfer target for Fenerbahce. 

Crucially the reports from Turkey are highlighting the cash flow problems that Jon Dahl Tomasson highlighted before Malmo won at Ibrox in August. 

From his first transfer window in January 2018 the Ibrox club have been trying to hype up interest in Morelos with the mystery bid from China being the start of numerous attempts to drum up interest in the chunky strike ace. 

With patchy form and 17 months left on his contract a fee of 8m euros is unlikely to be offered in the summer with Fenerbahce upping their initial offer to 6m euros.

Morelos does not extend his contract, which will expire next year. The expected offer from England did not come. 

With Morelos included in the Colombia squad to face Argentina on Tuesday the logistics of the deal aren’t ideal but the Turkish transfer window remains open until February 8 it looks like time is on Fenerbahce’s side. 

Swiss international striker Cedric Itten had his loan spell to German side Greuther Furth cut short to provide Giovanni van Bronckhorst with an extra striking option with Jermain Defoe’s contract terminated.
