Mateusz Zukowski is believed to be on his way to Ibrox in a deadline day deal.
The Legia Gdansk ace has been dubbed as the Polish Patterson and is out of contract at the end of the season.
At the age of 20 Zukowski will be able to provide cover for James Tavernier as serious cost-cutting finally arrives at Ibrox under contract guru Ross Wilson.
With 12 starts this season and six appearances off the bench the young Pole will be given star billing just like recent signings Amad Diallo, James Sands, Juninho Bacuna and John Lundstram.
Polish site Meczyki reports:
Zukowski, whose contract with Lechia ends in June, attracted the attention of other teams from PKO BP Ekstraklasa – for example Legia Warszawa. But also teams from outside our league were trying to win him.
According to our information, the player will go to Glasgow Rangers in January. As stated in our Scottish sources, the transfer is already on the home straight. Formalities remain to be finalized.
