Chris Sutton has echoed the thoughts of many Celtic fans over yesterday’s match-winner Liel Abada.

His goal against Dundee United was his 12th goal of the season, at the end of January that is a fantastic return from a winger, reminiscent of Scott Sinclair or James Forrest at their best.

Abada made a quick impact on Celtic following his £3m move from Petah Tikva, scoring against Midtjylland on his debut although it wasn’t enough to progress in the Champions League.

The scoring winger turned 20 in October but has settled quickly after swapping Israel for Glasgow with Celtic reaping the benefits.

Ange Postecoglou’s squad has been riddled with injuries since the start of the season but the young Israeli has so far kept himself fit and available.

February promises to be a pivotal month for Celtic’s title hopes- seeing Abada in full flow and among the goals is a habit that every fan wants to see continued.

He is young, he makes mistakes, but can still produce. Same cannot be said of Mikey Johnston right now, the lad needs a loan move asap to find his spark again.
