Kris Boyd is backing his mate Allan McGregor to bounce back from his howlers at Dingwall yesterday to turn in an outstanding performance in Wednesday’s Glasgow derby.
Greegsy, who celebrates his 40th birthday tomorrow, was badly at fault for Ross County’s first and third goals yesterday with Calvin Bassey to blame for the second goal scored by the highland club.
McGregor has been looking increasingly vulnerable, especially to low shots, this season with Hibs rattling three past him in 30 minutes of the League Cup semi-final at Hampden in November.
With Connor Goldson running down his contract before escaping things aren’t quite so hunky dory in the Ibrox dressing room but you’ll never get a word of criticism out of Boydy.
Discussing his former team-mate on Sky Sports yesterday, The Sun reports the former Portland Timbers goal ace saying:

Like Goldson, Leon Balogun, Scott Arfield and Steve Davis, Greegsy is out of contract in May. Super-sub John Lundstram is under contract until May 2024.
