Stephen Glass didn’t mess around when it came to Kevin Clancy’s performance at Pittodrie last night.

The former Aberdeen midfielder has come through some tough times this season but appears to have turned the club around, marshalled brilliantly by the ever-green Scott Brown showing that age is most certainly just a number.

At Ibrox in October it took a late penalty gifted by John Beaton to deny the visitors full points, last night Kevin Clancy took on the role of 12th man.

With Aberdeen doing all the early pressing Ryan Hedges raced in on goal forcing Allan McGregor off his line, the Dons attacker was the clear favourite- until he was clipped by Greegsy forcing Clancy into an instant decision. Play on.

It’s a penalty kick. I think anyone with a pair of eyes can see that. It might be difficult for the ref from the distance he is on, but the linesman; I don’t know how he doesn’t see it. But you can’t complain about it or you end up in the stand not able to help your team.

The discipline has to be there when that kind thing happens (speaking after Hagi’s goal). The boys are used to that sort of disappointment, but they have to handle it that little bit better.

But what I’m really proud of is the resilience they showed second half and coming back against a good Rangers team. They weren’t at their best but I think that’s because of us.
