Tom Rogic has been named in the Australian squad to play Vietnam and Oman over the next fortnight.
The midfielder has been in outstanding form under Ange Postecoglou with the Soccerros looking to get the benefit of the work put in by their former manager.
Rogic won’t be available for Celtic’s next three SPFL matches with the club waiting for tomorrow’s announcement from Haijime Moriyasu of the Japan squad for matches on January 27 and February 1.
If two more players are called up Celtic could request postponement of SPFL matches. Kyogo Furuhashi seems certain to miss out through injury but Reo Hatate and Daizen Maeda are in contention with Maeda a possible alternative to his injured team-mate.

Postecoglou could leave Rogic out of tomorrow’s Scottish Cup tie at Alloa with the midfielder used sparingly on plastic pitches. On his return from Australia Rogic should be available for the match at Motherwell on February 6.
