It’s going as planned- No injury setback for Rambo Ramsey according to van Bronckhorst

It seems that it was always planned for Aaron Ramsey to take a mini-break after his four minute appearance away to Borussia Dortmund last Thursday. 

Following those exertions the midfielder missed the matches away to Dundee United and at home to Dortmund with a family break to Gleneagles part of his rehab. 

GvB told me on Ramsey:

“He didn’t have a set-back. He wasn’t meant to be in the squad yesterday, for me it’s going as planned. Today he is on the pitch. We have to see his progress day by day.”

Since his headline grabbing move on January 31 Ramsey has started one match, away to Annan in the Scottish Cup and made three substitute appearances totalling less than 45 minutes. 

The warning signs were there in his game time with Juventus but typically Kris Boyd and others were too busy celebrating the arrival of a big name, like Joey Barton or Nicky Kranjcar to notice that Ramsey’s best days are a long way behind.
