Kyogo Furuhashi has taken to Instagram, sharing a teasing image which suggests that he could be involved in tonight’s Glasgow derby.
The striker hasn’t played since December 26 when he suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury just 15 minutes into the 3-0 win over St Johnstone.
Since that match Celtic have been coy about their top scorer, at yesterday’s media conference Ange Postecoglou bristled when asked about Kyogo, insisting that he is weeks away from a return.
Players are adept at using social media, for transfers, injuries and almost anything else relating to their status.
With his own image featuring in what appears to be an avert for the Glasgow derby he is bound to attract attention and speculation ahead of tonight’s team announcement at 6.30pm.
Daizen Maeda is believed to be back in Scotland less than 24 hours on from a 25 minute appearance for Japan against Saudi Arabia- he may not be the only Japanese striker involved for Ange Postecoglou tonight.
