Giovanni van Bronckhorst will have to go with the defence that started against Celtic in the recent Glasgow Derby when they take on Borussia Dortmund tomorrow night.
That means starting places for Borna Barisic and Calvin Bassey.
According to the official rewrite of the Derby the Ibrox men dominated the second half with Barisic substituted allowing Bassey to move to left-back and pair Leon Balogun with want-away ace Connor Goldson.
Balogun has been troubled by injuries all season, asked about his fitness to face Dortmund, van Bronckhorst told the Glasgow Times:
Leon is not available for (the Dortmund game) hopefully he will be available for next week.
With Filip Helander left out of the squad registered with UEFA the only available options for tomorrow are Jack Simpson and American starlet James Sands. Neither of whom were trusted to face Celtic.
Ryan Jack and Aaron Ramsey are in the squad that flies out to Germany today.
