Bodo Glimt have issued a weather warning to fans going to tonight’s Europa Conference match against Celtic.

The Aspmyra Stadium holds less than 5,000 fans with around 500 Celtic fans expected in the Arctic Circle for tonight’s match.

Celtic have been well warned about the type of conditions to expect but it seems that the hardy Norwegians are expecting conditions to be tougher than usual.

Bodo’s website warned at 2pm local time today:

It is snowing heavily in Bodø at the moment, and it creates a number of challenges for tonight’s match between Bodø/Glimt and Celtic.

We are currently working hard to clear away snow from the spectator areas at the stadium, but will not be able to remove the snow faster than new snow settles.

Therefore, we want to prepare everyone who is going to tonight’s match that there will be snow in the stands and seats around the stadium, even though it was brushed a short time ago.

We apologize for the inconvenience this causes and hope that the weather does not put a stop to a good and entertaining football match in the snow showers at Aspmyra. Please arrive by 18:00 to be guaranteed to get in the stadium

Celtic have a 3-1 deficit to overcome in the match, their first ever tie in the Europa Conference.

Ange Postecoglou has the same squad as last week to work with, despite being named in the squad listed with UEFA there is no place for Kyogo Furuhashi or David Turnbull.

Although Bodo have an artificial pitch there could be problems with the pitch markings if the snow falls as heavily as expected.
