A vintage video clip has surfaced on You Tube, adding to Ange Postecoglou’s Celtic jigsaw.

Managing in Glasgow wouldn’t have been in the thoughts of the young full-back as South Melbourne Hellas enjoyed a guest appearance from Greek international striker John Samaras.

Twenty years later John’s son Georgios would find himself at Celtic, initially on loan but going on to spend six eventful years where he became something of a cult figure.

While Samaras was creating headlines at Celtic, Postecoglou was cutting his teeth in management, in 2014 one was playing for Greece at the World Cup Finals in Brazil with the other in charge of the Socceroos.

Postecoglou remains very much in touch with the Australian game and media scene as he showed with an extensive interview earlier this week.

So far he has yet to sign an Australian, Riley McGree was a near miss last month but if a suitable candidate becomes available Tom Rogic could have company on his international trips.
