Keith Jackson has hit out at the Ibrox board over the shattering disconnect with supporters that manifested itself in three interruptions to yesterday’s match at Dundee.

Rebel shareholder Dave King recently held lengthy talks with James Traynor during a visit to Glasgow.

Outrage at the decision to play a friendly against Celtic in Australia has provided the rallying point for King, Jackson and the vast majority of supporters to express their anger at the board who have frozen expenditure over the last three transfer windows.

Toilet rolls and tennis balls rained down from the away section at Dens Park as easily identified Season Ticket holders stepped up their opposition to a loud backdrop of anti-Catholic chanting.

So far there has been no comment about the incidents from either club, the SFA, SPFL or Police Scotland.

Commenting on yesterday’s last gasp win over Dundee, Jackson told Daily Record readers:

That should certainly delight the club’s supporters even if they are now at loggerheads with a bungling, hamfisted board which seems determined to shoot itself in the foot at every turn.

The shattering disconnect between this club and its fan base at such a moment in history, is bordering on the extraordinary and it all came spewing out again yesterday with another protest against the controversial plan to stage a lucrative Old Firm friendly in Australia later this year.

A noisy, militant section of the Rangers support is now in full scale revolt and they seemed not to care yesterday that their actions – which caused a series of delays – might distract their own players and do terminal damage to their chances of hanging onto Celtic’s coattails.

They also appear to be revelling in the return of a moronic sectarian song book, regardless of what impact it has on their own club’s reputation or how much offence it may cause some of their own players.

With less than two weeks to go until Celtic visit Ibrox there has been no announcement on whether there will be any allocation of tickets to visiting supporters.
