Graham Spiers has claimed that the Tribute Act are desperately trying to get out of their Sydney Super Cup commitments.
Celtic were first out of the block to announce Ange’s Homecoming Tour in November, sheepishly the following day James Bisgrove explained by his 10 year old club would be taking up the role of support act.
The Commercial guru has been slated on social media over the decision to play second fiddle to Celtic with claims that the hoops will be picking up a far bigger cheque for the November trip to Sydney.
Stewart Robertson and Douglas Park have also been caught up in the storm with Ibrox fans debating how best to persuade their club to withdraw from the four-team competition.
Rangers announce a kind gesture re Ukraine…only to get a continuing savaging from supporters over the Ange homecoming tour.
It is hard to believe James Bisgrove or the knee-trembling Stewart Robertson have not been desperately trying to find a way to get out of this gig. https://t.co/QEFlko2dX0— Graham Spiers (@GrahamSpiers) March 15, 2022
Tickets have gone on sale for the November 20 derby in Sydney but security concerns have been raised about access to the stadium and inviting two sets of fans to mingle for a week in the Australian sunshine.
At the stadium each club will be allocated seats behind one goal with both sides of the stadium being marked for neutral fans. Celtic have still to announce the clubs that they will play on Ange’s Homecoming Tour.
I posted earlier on today that sevco would take part in the tournament.
Now Spiers has jumped on my bandwagon.
By my calculations this means that at least 75% of the spectators will attend for a ‘good time’.
