When it comes to monetising their toxic relationship with the club formed by Charles Green in 2012 Celtic dressed it up as Ange’s Homecoming Tour.

Pushing through a 6% rise in Season Ticket prices without the £50 retail voucher that was on offer last season the club decided to share Ange’s team talk ahead of the League Cup Final win over Hibs in December.

Football clubs know that they generally have a captive market for Season Ticket sales, if Celtic needed any proof of that it was delivered last year.

After the most miserable season in a generation, with fans watching from afar on streams, last summer the club had to pull out the stops to ensure that their most significant income source remained steady.

Neil Lennon and Peter Lawwell were replaced by Ange Postecoglou and Dom McKay, a £50 retail voucher was on offer with the new manager and CEO put in front of the Mainstream as well as fan media.

On Deadline Day there was a record number of supporters renewing, giving the club the benefit of the doubt.

Today, with four more home matches still to be played Celtic launched their renewal campaign.

Michael Nicholson (the new CEO) and the £50 voucher are posted missing, the focus is all on Ange with the manager having the sort of approval rating that hasn’t been seen since the heyday of Martin O’Neill.

Last year the renewal deadline was June 25, this year it is May 12, there will be a few grumbles but with Ange leading from the front there will certainly be a very high take up in renewals.

Lol KERCHING ££££££s bumped again and took for fools.
I don’t blame the board brilliant business activities knowing the dafties that includes Celtic fans as well as sevco fans will part with the cash.
Trying staying away from stadium for a while and stop purchasing season books and merchandise they won’t be long in coming round to dropping the price.
But hey if you continue to part with your cash then just shut up and get on with it.
