Ibrox fans were warned by their club to be off the streets of Belgrade by 11pm last night.
Around 3,000 fans are expected in the Serb capital for tonight’s Europa League tie against Red Star who go into the match trailing 3-0.
Ibrox fans have a certain reputation on the continent with the Belgrade locals unlikely to step aside to allow their visitors to inflict the usual damage that is their calling card.
Additionally, Serbian Police advised strongly against Rangers Supporters travelling alone or in small groups and recommended against the wearing of colours throughout the city. They also strongly advise that supporters are off the streets by 11pm.

Sounds a nice friendly place , however history lesson- the Serbs are long time allies of the Russians & many will likely side with them during this conflict- so beware. Mind you my wife’s cousin just got beaten up & mugged in Rome after watching the rugby- kilt & all!!

Earlier this season there were incidents inside and around the Brondby Stadium with the Danish club issuing a statement about the conduct of the Ibrox fans on the corporate trip.
Predictably the Daily Record chose to focus on the experiences of disabled, elderly and pregnant Ibrox fans at the hands of the Danish police.
