When you’ve had a howler live on radio and repeated on television it is wise to leave things alone and try to gently move along.
On Wednesday night Celtic enjoyed a fairly routine win over St Mirren, two second half goals proved too much against opponents with absolutely no attacking intent and happy to run the clock down from early in the first half.
Anyone with a grasp of football knows that over a 38 game league campaign a team will turn in a variety of performances.
A season like 2016/17 is very, very rare. Winning 34 out of 38 matches and picking up two domestic cup competitions is a once in a lifetime event but even that season- shock horror- there were a few matches less than sparkling. During December 2016 Celtic had single goal home wins over Dundee, Hamilton and Partick Thistle.
After his ‘hard watch’ comment to Ange Postecoglou following the St Mirren match Kenny Macintyre of BBC Scotland has been taken to task on Twitter. Amazingly, on Thursday lunchtime, more than 15 hours after the final while the BBC reporter was still trying to justify his view.
I think it was a poor game.
Do you believe the intensity/tempo/quality has dropped?
Listen back to my post-match interview from the Rangers game(best interview Ange has given me). Obviously very positive about the performance. I feel they have dropped dramatically since then.

why start the interview on a negative??? End of the day 3 points and a clean sheet job done. The players are human. Get on with it.

Following the deadline day signing of Aaron Ramsey Macintyre tweeted that he was a Rangers fan, it is virtually unheard of for a BBC Scotland reporter to admit to being a supporter of either of the big two Glasgow clubs.
Rangers are my team, never hidden that. Be strange to have someone working on Sportsound that didn’t support a team.
As for Kris Boyd. I know at times he is a wind up merchant, but he talks up our game. Would he be in the Sky studio tonight if he wasn’t such a big personality?

Ah Kenny the bawbag still biting and hurting days later oh how we love your pain.
Lol Kenny the mad BENNY Mckintyre still biting on twitter if he had any sense at all he would see his getting the James Hunt took out of him.
It’s only acceptable,as long as the pundits choice is t Celtic….Then all Hell breaks loose .
Exactly Eddie this guy has showed himself up big time, glad I dont pay that licence and never will, as the old saying always went ” anyone but Celtic” they even intimidate children not to support our club and certain parents feel that cant allow their kids to in fear of hassle they know they will get! Thars a well know fact! Pathetic bigoted wee country is ” brigadoon ” scotland makes me sick! And we really have to cancel this Sydney game or have them removed as it’s going cause our fans reputation when the huns riot all over sydney and their is nothing surer! That cant hapoen having lived in sydney I am going to send the authorities into on their past riots and anti Catholicism and racist behaviour remember Australia is mostly a catholic country! They in for a shock! Its scandalous and disgrace our club as put us in this situation, it be carnage! Cant happen!
This cant happen even and I am going to send information to said authories of their well documented past riots which is basically everywhere they have ever went! As everyone knows! Eh mr McIntyre! Admitting to be a hun tells us all we need to know about your character
Game in Sydney cannot happen it’s an absolute no no
I would love to see a Glasgow derby here in Toronto, Montreal, or Vancouver
Editor: Hopefully the Glasgow derby is soon put in the crematorium alongside all of its creators.
