Nathan Patterson finally made his Everton debut last night, lasting 45 minutes against Boreham Wood in the FA Cup before being hooked at half-time with the match goal-less.

Frank Lampard has noted the defensive limitations of the Ibrox starlet, playing Patterson in right midfield in front of former Celtic flop Jonjoe Kenny with captain Seamus Coleman on the bench.

Brazilian striker Richarlison replaced Scotland hero Patterson at the interval with Salomon Rondon scoring in the 57th and 84 minutes to take Everton into a quarter-final away to Crystal Palace with Patterson certain to be watching from the stand.

On Monday night Everton travel to face Spurs with the prospect of kicking off that match in one of the relegation places. It is believed that no bonus payments are due for the 45 minutes against the National League side.
