Normally there are just a couple of hundred boozed up fans paying to watch his party-piece dressed up as ‘An Evening With’ or ‘Q & A’ with Paul Gascoigne. 

Today the elderly circus act was out in the open and didn’t disappoint as he again mimicked playing the flute to a family audience of around 40,000 who roared their delight. 

Playing up to the Orange Order is an essential part of the Ibrox matchday experience, the tracksuits, logos and lettering all gives a nod of approval to an organisation that would be banned if their motivation was hatred towards any other religion other than Catholic. 

Team-mates and opponents at today’s match lapped up the gesture of the 54-year-old with some enterprising agent no doubt preparing to roll out some more events for the former England star to charm the natives in gesture and song.

A friendly ‘Celebrating’ their anniversary.

Rather appropriate there was endorsement of an organisation built on the hatred of catholic’s and steeped in sectarianism and racism.
