One Celtic Twitter account has claimed that Kyogo Furuhashi has started sprinting as he steps up his recovery from a hamstring injury.

For four months, since he was injured against Real Betis, Celtic fans have been fretting over the hamstring of their summer signing from Vissel Kobe.

After missing just two matches Kyogo started the League Cup Final at Hampden, scored twice to win the trophy then missed the goal-less draw at St Mirren before the fateful game away to St Johnstone.

Fifteen minutes into the match he pulled up after attempting to run onto a pass from James McCarthy. Since then he hasn’t played with Ange Postecoglou very coy about the striker’s rehab.

Postecoglou won’t face the media until Thursday or Friday when he previews Saturday’s match against Ross County.

Kyogo has been left out of the Japan squad for this month’s World Cup qualifiers against Australia and Vietnam- with Celtic fans hoping that he is back in action for a critical run of April fixtures starting with a trip to Ibrox on April 3.
