Aaron Ramsey is in the Sevco squad to face Red Star Belgrade tomorrow night but won’t start the match.

Six weeks after the headline grabbing arrival of the Welshman it seems that Ramsey is as far away as ever from starting a meaningful football match.

After watching his new team-mates hand over the leadership of the SPFL to Celtic Rambo made substitute appearances against Hearts and Hibs without making the slightest impact on the games.

He was outstanding in his only start away to Annan Athletic in an emphatic Scottish Cup victory but following a four minute appearance away to Borussia Dortmund he again went missing- watching four matches from his hotel room.

Rambo has been spotted on the golf course and enjoying a family break at Gleneagles- on Saturday against Aberdeen Giovanni van Bronckhorst sent on four substitutes while Ramsey underwent a very brisk warm up.

Aaron will be in the squad, he will not be starting.  For me, Aaron is the same as any player in my squad. You want any player to be available and to be able to play but in the end we also have to monitor the condition of the players.

We are doing that for Aaron. We are also doing it for Steven (Davis) and Ianis, who cannot play. The most important thing for us is to make sure we have individual programmes for each player to come back to gain fitness.

I am happy that Aaron is back in the squad and we are working hard to get Steven back in the squad and for Ianis (Hagi) we know it is going to take longer.

Davis is 37-years-old and has started nine European matches this season, Ramsey is 31 and played for four minutes away to Dortmund.

Manchester United starlet A mad Diallo is in the Europa League squad, Filip Helander and Cedric Itten have been left out.

Wales face Austria in a World Cup Play Off on March 24.

He’ll be fully fit for Wales v Austria. Once he gets through that game he’ll be ultra-fit to knock scotland out of World Cup. HH
