Joe Hart has saluted the 700 Celtic fans who witnessed yesterday’s win live at Ibrox.

The veteran keeper had a lively afternoon but saved his after-match praise to the fans that had been waiting just over two years to cheers their team on behind enemy lines.

It almost seems like a lifetime ago but on Friday the 13th of March 2020 the SPFL announced that football was being suspended just two days before Celtic were due at Ibrox with a healthy lead in the title ‘race’.

Last month Celtic announced that they were taking an allocation of 700 tickets for Ibrox with the fans balloted for the postponed match finally getting into Ibrox.

Hart was picking the ball out of his net in the third minute, alerting Willie Collum to glass in his penalty area in the 46th and celebrating with his team-mates after five minutes of extra-time.

When Celtic started their season with friendlies in Wales the former England keeper was facing another season on the sidelines at Spurs, now he is six matches away from collecting a thoroughly well deserved SPFL winners medal to add to his Manchester City collection.
