Ange Postecoglou isn’t expecting Giorgos Giakoumakis to be a long term absentee.

The striker won’t be involved in Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden but that appears to be a precautionary measure.

David Turnbull and Kyogo Furuhashi are just back from three months out with hamstring injuries but Giakoumakis may miss out on just one match.

The prognosis on Giakoumakis wasn’t anything too serious which was pleasing. We’ll probably keep him out for this weekend but we’re pretty confident he’ll be available for next weekend.

With Celtic going to Ross County on April 24 and then hosting a Glasgow Derby on May 1 it looks like Postecoglou could soon have his two main strikers both available.

Kyogo is very unlikely to play from the start on Sunday which suggests that Liel Abada could come in to play on the right with Daizen Maeda switched to play through the centre.

Albian Ajeti is a very left-field option but the former West Ham striker hasn’t started a match since December 9 against Real Betis.

This season Celtic have shown that they are capable of scoring from a variety of areas of the park, most recently at Ibrox the goals came from a midfielder and a central defender.
