Giorgos Giakoumakis will miss Sunday’s Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden.Â
The striker was injured and substituted during the first half of last week’s 7-0 win over St Johnstone, soon after scoring his 14th goal of the season.Â
There had been hopes that it was a muscle injury but at today’s media conference Ange Postecoglou confirmed that it was a hamstring- the injury that has blighted much of Celtic’s plans this season.Â

Over the last three matches David Turnbull and Kyogo Furuhashi have just returned from hamstring injuries suffered in December. A similar timescale for Goakoumakis would finish his season.Â
Back in December Jota also suffered a hamstring injury but was back in action following the January winter break.Â
Albian Ajeti, Tom Rogic and Carl Starfelt are other players that have been out for at least a month with similar injuries.Â
