Chris Sutton has named the two key influencers that can drive Celtic to the title.

As soon as Joe Hart joined the club in August he spoke about the role played by Callum McGregor as he prepared for his debut away to Jablonec.

It has been some journey since that day in the Czech Republic, at the fourth time of asking Ange Postecoglou notched his first competitive win.

Three days later Kyogo Furuhashi scored a hat-trick as Dundee were routed 6-0 with Celtic off and running. A new look team, a necessity, was off and running but the first seven matches brought only three wins and 10 points.

Somehow Celtic dragged themselves up and go into the split with a six point advantage, three of the last five matches will be played at Celtic Park

Sutton has watched it all unfold and expects Hart and McGregor to come into their own with the title within sight.

The former Celtic striker told the Daily Record:

It’s an inexperienced team going up against a Rangers side who did it 12 months ago, albeit with not much pressure.

But Celtic players can look at guys like Callum McGregor and Joe Hart, players who have got the nous and know what it takes to get over the line.

But they just need to stick to the things that got them to 34 games unbeaten domestically.

Rangers need to deal with Motherwell but Ross County is absolutely massive for Celtic. Forget about next week – this is now the biggest game of the season.

Ange Postecoglou won’t look beyond tomorrow in Dingwall but if Celtic win their next two matches they will need just one more to claim the SPFL Premiership title.
