The Civil War at Ibrox spilled over into a through the night mud-slinging exercise on Follow Follow, an official media partner of The Tribute Act.

Nothing jars the Superiority Complex of a loyal bear more than a home defeat to Selik, when it comes at a critical stage of the season raw emotions take over as bears squabble among themselves with even the most loyal being called out.

Ticking away in the background, undermining the current Board of Directors is the campaign being raged by Dave King. Among the leaks earlier this year was the claim that Steven Gerrard would still be at the club if Mister King was back in the Blue Room.

While King controls the sound-bites through a trusted media adviser; Douglas Park, John Bennett and others keep the lights on with monthly ‘investments’. Last year the directors covered losses of £23.5m, this year they have repaid King a £5m loan plus interest of £800,000.

That level of ‘investment’ is difficult to sustain, over the last three transfer windows only token fees have been paid to bring in Scott Wright, Jack Simpson and Mateusz Zukowski.

Gerrard knew what was coming down the line, signing Aaron Ramsey and Amad Diallo on loan in January was enough to blindside Kris Boyd and others but it is Giovanni van Bronckhorst that has to front things up with three defeats in his last four matches. Two defeats out of two to Celtic hasn’t helped the Dutchman, regardless of his nationality.

The blood-letting runs deep. Stewart Robertson and Ross Wilson are in the immediate firing line but The Three Bears are now getting called out as the reality of a stale squad needing massive investment comes into view. Seven years after taking control of the club income still comes nowhere near to matching expectations.

Robert Marshall runs the lucrative chain of Louden hospitality venues, appealing to the base instincts of Ibrox fans. With his son as the highly paid Supporters Liaison Officer many fans are joining the dots as an unthinkable Celtic title success becomes closer to realty.

Mister King is missing from the list.

For more than an hour Marshall continued to reply, by morning time things were getting overwhelming with ‘five trebles in six years’ the ultimate nightmare.
