Ibrox fans weren’t impressed when Ange Postecoglou handed out a history lesson rather than drool over a 1-0 defeat from RB Leipzig.

Andy Burke of BBC Scotland was this week’s volunteer to try and get the Celtic’s manager’s thoughts on the club formed by Charles Green in the summer of 2012.

As a multitude of disinterested reporters have discovered this season Postecoglou isn’t interested in playing along with silly media games.

More than 99% of Celtic fans want RB Leipzig to reach the Europa League Final, the others have personality issues much like anyone that puts a UEFA co-efficient table above club rivalries.

Postecoglou instantly got up to speed with the less than cunning plans that the media try to lay. Kenny Macintyre, Alasdair Lamont and Jane Lewis have discovered that reality- and the Celtic support lap it up as he hands out his matey slaps.

In a week in which they were playing the biggest game in their 10-year-old history the fans that claim ‘no one likes us we don’t care’ have become very sensitive.

Earlier in the week all sorts of strange conspiracies were being spread about nominations for Player and Manager of the Year, that rage has quickly been transferred to Postecoglou. If things go badly in their next two matches the loyal bears won’t be short of reasons to be angry.

Mmm . . . I always thought we were the first team from the Northern Hemisphere to win it. An even greater achievement.

Old rangers never even qualified for ecwc in 1972. Celts humped them in scottish cup the year before. HH

The whole tournament was played against league champions not 3rd 4th placed teams from leagues like now. Since the new ECL was introduced money has bought success outside of Paris and Man city. We had no money and not one person from outside central Scotland and were still 1st British and ONLY Scottish team to lift the big cup. Lest you forget……..
