Ryan Jack watched his side turned over for 45 minutes in the last Glasgow derby then came off the bench to stem the flow of chances and goals towards Allan McGregor.

On a lively night at the start of February Celtic moved into top spot in the SPFL and enter April with the lead stretched from one point to three.

With six games to come after Ibrox on Sunday a repeat of the last derby match would put Celtic heavily in the driving seat but only hard graft and working to plan will deliver an away win.

That outcome would be hard for the home fans to stomach with Jack telling the Daily Record that a repeat of that performance would be unacceptable.

We obviously want to go out and win the game and we’ll do everything we can to make sure we send our fans home happy.

The last Old Firm, we let ourselves down. We knew it wasn’t good enough, it wasn’t acceptable the performance we went out and gave as a squad and as a team.

Jack has played his way into Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s plans over the last month and looks a certain starter.

The loss of Alfredo Morelos is a big blow for the Ibrox club even though the Colombian has been less than prolific in the biggest domestic fixture on the calendar.
