SPFL’s key sponsorship hits rock bottom with van Bronckhorst taped up

The SPFL’s reputation as a tin pot set up was broadcast worldwide today through Sky Sports coverage of the Premiership match from Fir Park.

After finally announcing a sponsorship deal for all four divisions Neil Doncaster and friends have been left red-faced with last season’s champions club refusing to abide by the rules and promote cinch through pitch side advertising, carrying a panel on shirt sleeves and on backing boards for media interviews.

With the Premiership season into the post-split fixtures no sanctions or punishments have been taken against the Ibrox club who promote their own multitude of sponsors while every other club gives prominence to cinch.

Earlier in the season pre and post match interviews were carried out on the pitch or with blank backing boards.

Today at Fir Park someone seems to have slipped up with emergency use of white tape covering up the cinch logo for the interviews with Giovanni van Bronckhorst.

In midweek the SPFL announced a new sponsorship deal with an NFT firm, the Ibrox club has been left out due to their own deal with Sportsmongo.

  • Scud Missile says:

So what nothing to see here so move along DAFTIES.
Sevco run the show have you not all woke up to that yet or are you all as daft and as thick as them.
That’s a full season with Cinch not getting a plug from the new klub at ibrox, yes that’s right the new klub 10 years old and they have more say in Scottish football than any other club or the so called authorities that run it.
Remember this was Fir Park today, Motherwel’s stadium not sevco’s and it’s the new klub calling all the shots and pointing out who is in charge and what goes on an advertising board and what doesn’t.
What a way to treat people and a club that did the new klub a favour.

    • Jim Duffy says:

Well said scud ,we need to wake up to the fact that Sevco totally run Scottish football , Scotland the best wee biased bigoted country in the world.

  • Scouse bhoy says:

When the two george riots came to pass and no one in authority was brought to book then all decency went oot the windae. They are the vomiting urinating people.

  • Seppington says:

Please God let Celtic put some massive security men around those boards next week, ready to pummel whatever hun fool tries to do the same. Scum.

  • James says:

It’s my understanding that this matter is still under court action.

I’m also of the belief that the orc club have been told they will not recieve any CINCH sponsorship cash due to their refusal to be part.of that sponsorship.

They have threatened the present sponsorship deal and any future sponsorship by their actions.

Their excuse that they have a primary conflicting agreement, is hogwash……and everyone knows it.

If it was the case they had a conflicting deal, WHY is ENTERPRISE advertised at European nights.

The fact they won’t take on the big boys at uefa shows they believe the SFA and SPFL are.mugs they can treat like plebs.

If they get away with this then what’s to stop.others from refusing to honour deals.

Celtic could remove the scourge of SKYs biased broadcasting by promoting their own TV deals and make more cash by doing so.

Speaking of sky, they are currently running a campaign aimed at anti- discrimination.

Having been in correspondence with sky, it would appear to me that the orc discrimination of anti irish/Catholic behaviour and singing at/from the mordor fans is not part of that campaign as they continue to refuse to condemn the ibrox clubs behaviour.

Yet UEFA managed to stop their behaviour by threats against the club…while the SFA sits silent.

The new club from mordor have used the events of 2012 and realised the powers that be in Scotland will not take action against them…..

It’s down to the authorities to take action by forcing the ibroke club to follow follow the laws…..otherwise remove them from the league…..

They need to be brought into line…hh

Editor: Sadly no sign of anyone in Scottish football prepared to say BOO to their friends at Ibrox let alone enforce the rules that 41 others clubs go along with.

  • Brian says:

Or maybe our club is up to its arse in this five way agreement that they are shit scared to say a thing. Go on Celtic prove me wrong.

    • Jim Duffy says:

You are spot on Brian our club is indeed up to its arse in this corrupt set up we call Scottish football.

  • John mcghee says:

Well we all know that mr Doncaster went on live tv and said mr parks threating him over the phone and he also said the threats were shocking but i never heard the sfa our spfl doing anything about it so maybe thats why the corrupt sfa.spfl are shit scared to do anything incase parks sends in his bully boys the media have been really quite on anything that new club club does eh we wonder why..COWARDS AT HAMPDEN AND PARADISE CELTIC BOARD ARE EMBARRASSING HONEST.

  • George says:

What do you expect from from. New/co the usual with them they think? they are better than everyone else and they don’t need to stick to the rules I hope the SPFL and the SFA do something about it or are they going to do what they always do stick by the loyal sevco we will see what happens at the end of the season but I’ve not got any faith in anything happen but its Scottish football for ya

  • Pan says:

Doncaster is a coward and in no way should be in the position he is.
It is totally unprofessional not to call Sevco to account and against the interests of every other club. The SFA are well initialed as they do sweet f… all.

No sponsorship money should be handed to the club from Ibrox. They are completely toxic and corrupt as an institution. I am surprised that Cinch have not withdrawn their sponsorship, but they must at least ensure that Ibrox does not get access to any of their sponsorship money.
