‘Stop greetin’ ‘This banger gets paid to be a fan of Sevco’ Wee David Tanner’s Leipzig delusion

David Tanner was deep in denial as he suffered through last night’s Europa League semi-final in Germany. 

‘Didn’t deserve to lose’ was the verdict on the Tribute Act from the former Sky Sports anchorman who covered the game for TalkSPORT while watching the BT Sport pictures from his home in Edinburgh. 

Despite having three key players suspended RB Leipzig dominated every aspect of the match with only a night impersonating Sebo from Christopher Nkunku preventing the tie being over after the first leg. 

As the match entered the closing stages it looked like van Bronckhorst was about the pull off a Walter Smith type result but justice was done when Angelino scored with a volley from 22 yards. 

With Leipzig having their first choice defenders back from suspension and having won away to Atalanta and Real Sociedad in the two previous rounds the Germans look capable of inflicting more pain on Tanner. 

Emma Dodds has taken on the coveted roles at ‘Rangers TV’, ‘Premier Sport’ and BT Sport leaving Tanner arranging Q and A nights in pubs with his old Ibrox heroes as well as feigning an interest in Steve Archibald. 

Dougie Donnelly is the new face of Hibs TV this season after Tanner hosted last season’s offerings.

#Rangers did not deserve to lose (nor should they have won) in Germany, so this semi-final is winnable in the cauldron that Ibrox has been in every game of this extended run.

To be fair, there were plucky performances from 2 teams with a combined history of around 23 years. Surely the youngest age aggregate at this stage of any European competition

Is that the same fans that didnt go in to their pockets to save there club but years after the new club they raise money for a fly over those fans need to sort their priorities out
