Andrew Dickson was very sceptical over the picture of Alfredo Morelos on crutches that surfaced on Thursday afternoon.
The former Rangers Media executive now works behind the scenes at Sky Sports News with connections throughout the game, especially around Ibrox.
In January 2020 he extensively promoted a world exclusive interview with Morelos but had nothing to do with the translation which bore little resemblance with what the Colombian had said in the interview.
The snatched pictures of Morelos on Thursday sparked a guessing game across social media over how genuine they were, had they been photo-shopped and when the picture was taken.
Wouldn’t be at all surprised if the photo is from him heading out to meet up with the Colombia squad last week but struggling to see how the picture is from today as some are suggesting.

Yesterday, at his media conference Giovanni van Bronckhorst confirmed that Morelos would miss Sunday’s match against Celtic. The full extent of the injury had still to be assessed and could be long term.
How long term is defined is open to interpretation but with seven weeks left of the season and the next fortnight containing two matches against Braga, two against Celtic and a trip to St Mirren the timing could hardly be worse for the club Dickson used to work for.
Calling these people journalists is too much of a stretch for me. That photo was taken 2 days ago. Does he have no contacts at greyskull? Or is he trying to soothe the furrowed brow? Kidding on he’s not injured will not cut it on Sunday, I’m afraid. HH
Andrew Dickson the original nickel&dime journalist.
Maybe liars maybe not we shall see soon if it’s a lie be careful Celtic they may try anything
I still expect morelos to make an appearance,,sevco trying to surprise us at the last minute recovery
