Celtic failed to deliver a telling title blow today but Chris Sutton reckons that the hoops were comfortable in the drawn Glasgow Derby.

Jota opened the scoring in the 21st minute but midway through the second half Fashion Sakala equalised to leave Celtic six points clear with three matches left to play.

The last 10 minutes seemed far from comfortable as Sakala hit the post with Joe Hart pulling off a great double save to ensure that the gap at the top remained the same as at kick-off.

Celtic should have had the match sewn up before half-time but Jota and Daizen Maeda both missed good chances to increase Celtic’s lead.

On Saturday Celtic host Hearts knowing that a win will put one hand on the trophy with a goal difference advantage of 19.

The following day Dundee United visit Ibrox with Celtic heading to Tannadice on May 11 before completing the campaign at home to Motherwell on May 14.

To many subs at the one time knocks the balance away. Gradual process would be better. But on to lunchtime next Saturday.

That auld favourite a game of 2 halves,we pished that first half but lived dangerously in the second, sevco could quite easily have picked up the 3 points.
The title will still be ours but that was hard work today.

They were on top for the first 15. Kent should have scored after losing Ralston. We were well on top for the remainder of the half and Maeda should have put the game to bed. Second half was a big worry as they were well on top. Concerning our lack of energy towards the end of games. They seemed fitter.

  • Stev says:

Maeda great at running about closing people down but finishing is terrible. Should’ve been out of sight.
