With two matches left to play this season Chris Jullien has added another egg-timer onto an Instagram post that he made last night.

The defender has only played 20 minutes of first team football this season, coming off the bench during the Scottish Cup win at home to Raith Rovers on February 13.

In the world of Instagram emojis the egg-timer suggests that an event is coming up soon but it has been a long wait for Jullien to make an SPFL appearance following a knee injury in December 2020 that required surgery.

The Frenchman has made infrequent appearances on the substitute bench since the turn of the year but has failed to make the matchday squad for Celtic’s last three matches.

Stephen Welsh made fairly frequent appearances in defence during the first half of the season but Cameron Carter-Vickers and Carl Starfelt have played every minute of the last 15 SPFL matches despite rotation in every other outfield position.

According to Transfermarkt Jullien is under contract with Celtic until May 2023.
