With a 30 match unbeaten run of 25 wins and five draws Celtic fans are preparing for an SPFL title party this week.

After the damage done last term few fans could have dreamt that their new look side would be going into the last two matches of the season six points clear with the insurance of a plus 20 goal difference advantage.

A year ago Ange Postecoglou was still a peripheral figure, mainly known only to those with some interest in the fortunes of the Australian national squad.

Whatever the process, 106 days after Neil Lennon resigned the Australian was presented as Celtic boss with time running against him towards mid-July Champions League qualifiers and the start of the domestic campaign.

Midtjylland killed off Celtic’s Champions League prospects at the first hurdle but after losing three of their first six SPFL matches the hoops are unbeaten since mid-September with a draw at Dundee United good enough to return the trophy to the east end of Glasgow after a 12 month break.

We have to do better next year irrespective of how it went this year. The way that I want teams to play, the whole training process takes a little while for people to gel to. I really hope that next year we will be a stronger team, we have to be, I look forward to what that brings.
