Ewan Murray has given Ange Postecogluo his manager of the year award but steered clear pf describing the turnaround of Celtic as extraordinary.
The Guardian’s golf reporter doesn’t make any attempt to disguise that he is a Hearts fan but seems unable to resist bringing Celtic into his twitter discussions to the extent that he managed to link the comments of Ian Bankier at the Celtic AGM with an SFA suspension for Paul McGinn of Hibs.
On Postecoglou: what he has done isn’t “extraordinary” or a “miracle” etc. But Celtic were in disarray when he arrived. They’d finished 25 points adrift. To turn them into the best team in the country, to me, = manager of the year.

Celtic are realistically one win away from being SPFL Premiership champions with the first opportunity to achieve that coming on Saturday when Hearts visit Celtic Park.
At the end of July the hoops opened their campaign with a defeat at Tynecastle on Day One, two more defeats followed in the next five fixtures but on the back of an unbeaten 29 match run Postecoglou is about to claim the biggest prize in the Scottish game at the first time of asking.
Paul McGinn now issued with a SFA notice of complaint. His defence need only be two words: “Ian” and “Bankier.”

His vote is begrudged because on the one hand he doesn’t want to give it, yet on the other is afraid of being ridiculed for voting for the likes of the 2 racists on the short list.
